Biography
Kym’s devotion to Christ first came through a radical, unexpected encounter with God in 1994. The desire to continue seeking God led her into three years of Biblical and Theological Studies (Briercrest Bible College and Trinity Western University) during which time she first began practicing contemplative forms of prayer, along with working among marginalized persons in the inner city. Listening contemplatively to others and watching for the movements of God’s Spirit have always been central expressions of Kym’s faith. In 2015, an invitation came for formal study and practice in the ministry of Spiritual Direction. In 2017, she received a two-year certificate in Spiritual Direction from Christos Center for Spiritual Formation (Minneapolis, MN). Kym is married to Jeff and mother to four energetic children.
